Chromebook One-to-One:

GBA’s one-to-one program gives students in grades 10-11 access to Chromebooks to use for school work. Students can take the Chromebook home each day. The one-to-one Chromebook program prepares students for success in a global, technology-rich learning and working environment.

What is a Chromebook ?

A Chromebook is a small laptop specifically designed to access the Internet. It runs on the Chrome operating system, which resembles the Google Chrome Internet browser. GBA uses Google Apps for Education, Chromebooks utilise Internet resources, specialised apps, and software for documents, spreadsheets, and presentations similar to Microsoft Office.

Chromebook in Classroom

Chromebooks are used as an interdisciplinary learning tool. Students can use a variety of apps and web resources to communicate, collaborate, and digitally create in the classroom. Students use Chromebooks to create and publish original works, practice specific skills, research curriculum topics, and explore their interests.
